withering angels

This collection is a couture diary, capturing my day in Paris on 17th of June 2018.

A lonely walk at a Père LaChaise cemetery. Forgotten memories, dying flower bouquet at the grave of Oscar Wilde. I have suddenly found myself being followed by the crying angel statues.

Haunted.

Haunted.

Unsettling experience. Influenced by Francesca Woodman's photography and bejewelled catacomb skeletons, it has transformed into heavily hand-gathered and manipulated textiles. A collection of heavenly bodies. Hundreds of metres of organdie turned into fragile floating sculptures. The fabric, that is usually used on the inside as a garment “skeleton”, became a body on itself, resembling bone structure of a human.

A delicate tulle collection where lifeless grey and reds fade into rosy nudes, tangle into loosely floating threads and raw stitching. Real human teeth were scared and printed in 3D. Turned into more, than 1,500 beads, they embellished dresses, shoes and heavily decorated face masks.

Death, skin and bones.

This collection introduces to my personal angels.
